Culinary adventures await at breakfast—the hot egg options were spot on! Those gorgeous resident cats add an extra charm, and the sparkling pool was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Plus, being just a short stroll down the hill to restaurants like Castas e Pratos? Fantastic!
While the room had a stunning view, the steep hill to town might leave you puffing. And a nifty kettle in the room would’ve made those leisurely mornings even better.

I spent two nights at this lovely family-owned place, perfect for enjoying the wineries in the Douro Valley. The spacious room had a beautiful view and a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was a highlight, with fresh options and dishes made to order. After a day of exploring, the pool was a great spot to relax and take in the surroundings.

The property is beautifully surrounded by vineyards and offers stunning views of the Douro River. The breakfast featured generous portions of local cheeses, fresh pastries, and made-to-order eggs, setting a delightful tone for the day. The staff was exceptionally friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that truly made me feel at home.
The steep walk back into town can be a bit challenging, especially after a long day of exploring.

Casa De Sao Domingos was a huge disappointment. The staff were not friendly, and the breakfast was incredibly bland. After all the inconvenience of getting in, I woudl ve expected a complimentary drink or something special to make up for it, but of course, that didn’t happen, just couldn’t see the positives here.

Exceptional staff made our stay feel like home. they provided personalized service throughout. The property features gorgeous grounds, filled with lush flowers and trees surrounding the inviting pool. Breakfast options were extensive and delicious, offering everything from fresh fruits to croissants. Our room was clean and comfortable with ample space. However, the walk into town presented challenges, with a busy road lacking proper sidewalks, making evening strolls tricky. Also, limited privacy on the shared balcony could be improved, as it felt open to the other guests. Overall, a beautiful and cozy place!

The beautiful gardens were a delight during our
stay at Casa De Sao Domingos. The property is well-kept, and the views from the poolside are stunning. We appreciated the personal touches from the owners, which enhanced our experience. However, the walk into town is best done during the day due to safety concerns.

The breakfast was truly delightful, featuring a variety of local treats.
Unfortunately, the noise from the nearby road was quite disruptive at night, making it hard to sleep. Even though our room was located at the back of the house, the thin walls offered little soundproofing. The scenic environment was marred by the lack of clarity on how to access the property upon arrival, as we were left confused outside with no greeting or assistance available, which left a bittersweet taste in an otherwise picturesque stay.

Couples seeking a beautiful retreat
The room was nice enough, having that stunning view of the valley, and the pool? It was a joy, perfect for cooling off after a hot day. The breakfast was great but I really wanted coffee in the room, ended up with teabags instead. Oh and the self-service cold drinks were handy, but no price list near the fridge, a little annoying.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but considering the location it was fair enough.

Had a great group trip! The property felt like an oasis, with relaxing spaces and friendly staff. We loved the generous breakfast and the stunning pool area. We hiked in the nearby trails and cycled through scenic routes, making our stay even more enjoyable. Just a heads up, the walk back to town is a steep one, but worth it for the views!
One downside was that we had to wait at checkout, as it took a bit of time to find someone to assist us. It’s something to keep in mind.
